Catalyst Cleaning, Rejuvenation and Regeneration

Typically, less than half the activity is used before SCR catalyst is considered “spent.”
SCR-Tech offers proprietary and patented processes based on proven technologies
that extend the useful life of SCR catalyst and substantially improve its NOx removal
efficiency for significantly less cost than purchasing new. Our processes are capable of
not only physically cleaning and rejuvenating the most severely plugged, blinded or
poisoned catalyst, but of also chemically reactivating deactivated catalyst.

SCR-Tech offers two distinct services that can extend and/or restore
NOx reduction performance:

Cleaning & Rejuvenation: Using DI-water based cleaning and ultrasonic rejuvenation
methods, SCR-Tech can remove large particle ash (LPA) and fly ash from severely
plugged catalyst without damage, and without loss of remaining activity. Rejuvenation
can significantly extend NOx reduction performance for severely plugged, partially
deactivated catalyst. Rejuvenation cannot, however, be used to restore activity to
catalyst that has been fully deactivated due to chemical poisoning. [more…]


Regeneration (ReGen™): For poisoned and / or deactivated catalyst, our proprietary,
patented and fully-guaranteed ReGen process addresses all deactivation causes and fully
restores catalytic activity, often to levels beyond original. In addition to fully restoring
catalytic activity and NOx reduction performance, this process removes catalyst poisons
such as arsenic, as well as specific compounds known to promote the oxidation of SO2
to SO3 within the catalyst. [more…]

Achieve Maximum NOX Reduction Potential

At SCR-Tech, our goal is to reinstate the maximum achievable NOx reduction potential
in the most economical manner, without changing the physical, chemical and/or mechanical
properties of your catalyst. The most efficient and cost-effective means of restoring catalyst
activity level is determined and a custom catalyst exchange program is designed. We have
successfully restored catalyst activity for power plants burning coal, natural gas, refinery
residues, pet coke, municipal solid waste, sewage sludge and biomass.
