CoaLogix Announces Another Multi-Year Contract for SCR Management

CoaLogix Receives Significant New Order from a Midwestern Region Electric Utility Company.

Charlotte, NC, August 4, 2009 – CoaLogix Inc. announced today that its SCR-Tech, LLC subsidiary has signed a $2.5 million agreement with a Midwestern electric utility company to provide regenerated selective catalytic reduction (SCR) catalyst and SCR management services. SCR-Tech, which is the world leading provider of SCR management services and catalyst regeneration technologies used by coal-fired power plants to reduce nitrogen oxides (NOx) emissions, will provide the utility catalyst management services over the next 5 years.

Under the agreement, the Midwestern electric utility will purchase regenerated catalyst from CoaLogix’s NOxAssure program, in lieu of purchasing new catalyst.  CoaLogix's NOxAssure program provides a fast response catalyst inventory for the SCR systems in coal-fired power plants, consisting over 5,000 megawatts of SCR catalyst that are ready for regeneration and installation to meet specific customer needs at lower compliance costs.  Customers of the CoaLogix’s NOxAssure program receive preferential pricing, along with access to CoaLogix’s extensive inventory of all types of in-house SCR catalyst.

The Midwestern electric utility company’s choice to use regenerated catalyst in lieu of purchasing new catalyst will ultimately require 60% less energy usage and lower the customer’s carbon footprint.  SCR-Tech’s catalyst management service will optimize the overall operation of the SCR, which will lower harmful greenhouse gas emissions.
Bill McMahon, CEO of CoaLogix, said "We continue to be pleased by the acceptance of regeneration and are thankful that our NOxAssure program has been adopted by so many customers needing catalyst and SCR management.  This contract increases our SCR program to over 13,000 MW of installed SCR under management."

About CoaLogix
CoaLogix is focused on providing cutting edge services to coal-fired generating facilities to reduce their environmental footprint through technology, optimization and efficiency improvements.  CoaLogix owns SCR-Tech, LLC which is a leading provider of selective catalytic reduction (SCR) management services and catalyst regeneration technologies used by coal-fired power plants to reduce nitrogen oxides (NOx) emissions. Currently, coal-fired power plants contain approximately $1 billion of catalyst in their SCR systems.   CoaLogix also provides a technology named MetalliFixTM which captures and remediates mercury from coal fired plants.  MetalliFixTM is expected to provide a more cost-effective solution, with lower capital, disposal and removal costs, than activated carbon technologies.  CoaLogix integrates leading-edge technologies, a highly-skilled workforce, and more than 160 years of combined senior management experience in the environmental and power generation industries to provide innovative, cost-effective solutions that help our customers achieve and maintain compliance with increasingly stringent environmental regulations.
